captain eliyahu Elkriaf
Eli was a warm family man who prioritized family in his life. His brother said, "We were not surprised that he was a loving family man, but we were still surprised by the intensity of energy and emotion that he displayed. We loved and enjoyed seeing the love and pampering. He was a good friend and a supporter, distributor of love and warmth in every direction, and was in sync with every member of the household, as individuals and all together." Eli, along with 11 other reservists, was killed by a Hezbollah-fired katyusha rocket that hit their staging area in Kfar Giladi in Israel's far north on August 6, 2006. He was 34 years old.
