1995- Nitzan Cohen
Nitzan was born in 1972 in Santiago, Chile, where his parents were working as emissaries. In 1974, the family returned to Jerusalem. Nitzan was part of the “Tzofim” youth movement as a boy. In 1991, Nitzan was drafted into the Armor Corps. In October 1994, after the Oslo Accords, he moved the Border Guard. In 1995, Nitzan was killed during a terror attack at Netzarim. A convoy of Netzarim residents and a Border Guard jeep was leaving the Karni crossing when a truck intentionally hit the Border Guard jeep. The truck driver got out of the truck with a gun and started shooting at the IDF vehicle. Although the truck driver was killed, so were Nitzan and other officers. Nitzan was 23 years old when he was killed. He was posthumously promoted to the rank of supervisor.
