Sergeant First Class Yehonatan Einhorn
Yehonatan was the oldest of five brothers. A lover of the land, he liked to take hiking trips a lot. Every weekend he was home, he used to go on trips somewhere else. He knew the country by foot, every little inch. At his funeral, his uncle shared with the crowd of thousands that Yehonatan told him that he believed the fight against Hezbollah was a war of life and death and how important it was for Israel to win. Yehonatan was killed in a battle with Hezbollah just north of the Israeli border on August 1, 2006. He was 22 years old.
