2012- Netanel Moshiashvilli
Netanel was born in Ashkelon in 1990. He was the second of six children born to his parents. Netanel was raised in a religious family and until the age of sixteen, he studied at a Charedi yeshiva. Netanel was a modest, compassionate young man. In 2010, Netanel volunteered to become a soldier in Golani. After completing a special course, he became a certified paramedic in the unit. In June of 2012, Netanel was killed while fighting terrorists in the Gaza Strip. That morning, a terrorist cut the gate separating Gaza from Israel, and penetrated into Nirim, a Kibbutz near the Gaza Strip. Although Netanel’s unit was called to find the terrorist, the terrorist ambushed the unit and killed Netanel. Netanel was only 22 years old when he was killed. He is survived by his parents and five siblings.
