1954- Shlomo Hertzman
Shlomo’s father was part of the Third Aliyah and a member of the Labor Unit at Ein Charod and Tel Yosef. Shlomo was born in Tel Aviv in 1927 and he was a member of the Labor Youth Movement. He joined the Palmach after he finished his studies. Shlomo took part in crucial operations; during the 1948 war, he was part of the convoys travelling to Jerusalem and Gush Etzion. He later took part in the Pilot’s Course and became a navigator as a permanent soldier. He was injured while on duty and he died from his wounds 12 days later. He left behind a wife and a daughter.
