1986- Daniel Amar
Amar was born in 1966 in Hadera. Amar was a sensitive young man who always respected his environment and helped out in any situation he could. In 1984, Amar was drafted into the Navy in Haifa. He was a bow gunner on the “Dabur” ship. After a while, he was certified as a paramedic, and he became a paramedic on the “Dabur”. On February 17, 1986, he went out with the rest of his crew on the ship towards Lebanon. The following morning, when the ship was supposed to return home, snipers hit the ship. Amar was hit in the main artery near his groin and within four minutes, he died. Amar is survived by his parents and two brothers.
