Second Lieutenant Bar Rahav
Second Lieutenant Bar Rahav served in the Combat Engineering Corps. Rahav’s vehicle was hit by an antitank missile that was fired by terrorists in the central Gaza Strip. He died of his wounds on Saturday, July 19. Rahav, a member of Israel’s national water polo team, was offered special benefits by the IDF because of his athletic career but he chose to join a combat unit and serve like the rest of his peers. Rahav came from Ramat Yishai and is survived by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. He was 21 years old.
