1979- Iron Vandrov
Iron was born in Haifa in 1953. When he was a young boy, his family went to Ghana with his father on a mission. After two years, they returned to Israel, where Iron finished his studies. In 1971, Iron was drafted into the IDF, where he became a pilot. He was an incredible husband and father who carried about his family. He took on the responsibilities of educating the kids, while also carrying out his duties as a pilot. In the army, everyone praised his work ethic and his willingness to always help others. In 1979, Iron was killed while on duty. He left behind his wife, two children, his mother, and his siblings. He was posthumously promoted to the rank of major.
