1982- Tomas Bajerno
Tomas was born in 1959 in Germany and made Aliyah to Israel in 1980. Kibbutz Sarid was his home away from home. He was adopted by a family and even made connections with a woman from the Kibbutz. Tomas decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a pilot in the Israeli Air Force. In 1981, Tomas was drafted into the Aviation Course, but he was later placed in the Golani brigade. In 1982, Tomas was killed while serving. He left behind his parents and a brother in Germany, and an aunt in Israel.
