First Sergeant Noam Goldman
Noam spent three years of his early life living in Puerto Rico and then grew up in Kfar Saba upon the family’s return to Israel. Noam was called up for reserve action as a tank commander one week before he was killed. In text messages to his father, he referred to himself as the 'Tibetan mountain leopard.' When asked why, he said “he was in a mountainous area in which leopards live." Noam was killed in one of four incidents that took place in southern Lebanon on August 9, 2006. He was 27 years old.
